<br />• Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />May 5, 1982, Page 11 <br />Duncanville, Texas, in the amount of $35,510.00. Second by <br />Councilperson ~aestergren. The motion carried, 9 ayes and <br />0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />23. Administrative Reports: <br />City Manager Owen stated he had none. <br />24. Council Action: <br />Councilperson Malone requested a brief executive session to <br />discuss a legal matter. <br />Councilperson Longley discussed complaints he has received <br />concerning trucks being parked in the subdivision. Longley <br />asked that the ordinance be more stringently enforced. <br />• Councilperson Matuszak expressed concern where deed restric- <br />tions that supersede City restrictions are not being followed. <br />He asked if an ordinance could be passed to require a person <br />to obtain proper authority from the Civic Association prior <br />to coming to the City for permits. Chief Inspector Paulissen <br />stated his department advises persons making application for <br />permits that they should check with the Home Owners Association. <br />Councilperson Graves discussed the amendment to the game room <br />ordinance and the Council Retreat. <br />Councilperson Pfeiffer stated the committee is still working <br />on the Game Room Ordinance and would have further recommenda- <br />tions at a later date. <br />Councilperson Gay thanked Councilperson Skelton for the dis- <br />cussion on solid waste. <br />Councilperson Skelton discussed the need to review appointments <br />to the different committees in the City organizations. <br />Mayor Cline requested an executive session to discuss a legal <br />matter. <br />From the floor, Mr. Tom Simons introduced the newly elected <br />Fire Chief, Joe Sease, and President Kenny Price of the La <br />Porte Volunteer Fire Department. <br />
