<br />A motion was made by Councilperson Malone, seconded by Council-
<br />person Matuszak to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 1321 as
<br />read by City Attorney Askins, "An Ordinance Appointing a Member
<br />of the City Council (B. Don Skelton, Sr.) to Serve as Mayor
<br />Pro-Tem of the City of La Porte, for the Term May 1982,
<br />Until April 30, 1985, and Providing an Effective Date Hereof."
<br />The motion carried, 7 ayes, 1 nay and 1 abstain.

<br />5. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE MAKING APPOINTMENTS
<br />• TO VARIOUS OFFICES AND POSITIONS FOR THE TERM MAY 1, 1982,
<br />UNTIL APRIL 30, 1985; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF.
<br />A motion was made by Councilperson [Westergren to approve and
<br />adopt Ordinance No. 1322 as read by the City Attorney appointin
<br />Jack Owen, City Manager; James B. [Villiamson, Judge of the
<br />Municipal Court; Knox W. Askins•,• City Attorney; John D. Arm-
<br />strong, Assistant City Attorney; Robert J. Montgomery, Prose-
<br />cuting Attorney of the Municipal Court. Second by Council-
<br />person Skelton. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays.

<br />Dr. Genie Suhr, 910 S. Virginia, as Chairman (4-30-85), Bertha
<br />Cook, 9802 Carlow, District 2 (4-30-85), and J. R. Spradling,
<br />3302 Valley Brook, District 3 (4-30-85) to the Planning and
<br />Zoning Commission. Second by Councilperson Malone. The motion
<br />carried, 5 ayes, 2 nays and 2 abstain
