Mayor Cline recommended the appointment of Paul Felgner to <br />the La Porte Ambulance Board. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to approve the <br />appointment of Paul Felgner, 10431 Collingswood, to the <br />La Porte Ambulance Board. Second by Councilperson Malone. <br />The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />8. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE <br />MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE, <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 1324 as read by the City Attorney appointing <br />• Cliff Hyde, 10415 Rustic Gate, Chairman of the La Porte Air- <br />port Advisory Board; M. L. Miller, 301 South Idaho, as a member, <br />and H. L. Hartsoe as a member to serve until. April 30, 1985 or <br />until their successors are duly appointed. Second by Council- <br />person Westergren. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />9. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE OF- <br />FICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE TERM <br />MAY 1, 1982 UNTIL APRIL 30, 1985 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve and adopt <br />Ordinance No. 1325 as read by the City Attorney designating <br />the Bayshore Sun as the official City newspaper. Second by <br />Councilperson Malone. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays : None <br />10. Council considered authorizing the City Attorney to dismiss <br />• the City of La Porte as a plaintiff in the lawsuit against <br />Harris-Galveston Coastal Subsidence District. After some <br />discussion, a motion was made to table this matter for further <br />consideration at a later date by Councilperson Westergren. <br />
