Mayor Cline recommended the appointment of Paul Felgner to the La Porte Ambulance Board. A motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to approve the appointment of Paul Felgner, 10431 Collingswood, to the La Porte Ambulance Board. Second by Councilperson Malone. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline Nays: None 8. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF A motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 1324 as read by the City Attorney appointing • Cliff Hyde, 10415 Rustic Gate, Chairman of the La Porte Air- port Advisory Board; M. L. Miller, 301 South Idaho, as a member, and H. L. Hartsoe as a member to serve until. April 30, 1985 or until their successors are duly appointed. Second by Council- person Westergren. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline Nays: None 9. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE OF- FICIAL NEWSPAPER OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE TERM MAY 1, 1982 UNTIL APRIL 30, 1985 AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. A motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve and adopt Ordinance No. 1325 as read by the City Attorney designating the Bayshore Sun as the official City newspaper. Second by Councilperson Malone. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline Nays : None 10. Council considered authorizing the City Attorney to dismiss • the City of La Porte as a plaintiff in the lawsuit against Harris-Galveston Coastal Subsidence District. After some discussion, a motion was made to table this matter for further consideration at a later date by Councilperson Westergren.
