Mayor Cline asked for recommendations for appointments to <br />the H-GAC 1983 General Assembly. <br />Councilperson Longley placed the name of Councilperson Don <br />Skelton before the Council for consideration. <br />Councilperson Matuszak placed the name of Mayor Virginia <br />Cline as 1983 alternate. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Longley that Councilperson <br />Skelton be appointed as the 1983 H-GAC General Assembly <br />Representative with Mayor Virginia Cline appointed alternate. <br />Second by Councilperson Westergren. T e motion carried, <br />8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Westergren, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton and Mayor Cline. <br />• Nays: None <br />11. City Attorney Askins read: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE TO BORROW THE SUM OF THIRTY THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED <br />SIXTEEN DOLLARS AND TWENTY-NINE CENTS ($30,816.29), TO BE <br />EVIDENCED BY A TAX ANTICIPATION NOTE, PAYABLE OUT OF CURRENT <br />TAXES COLLECTED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, <br />1982, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1983 <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to accept and <br />approve Resolution No. 82-18 as read by the City Attorney. <br />Second y Councilperson Westergren. City Attorney Askins read: AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT <br />UNDER SECTION 18-A-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANS- <br />PORTATION," BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PO RTE, TEXAS; AND APPROVING THE APPLICA- <br />TION OF SEAGULL PRODUCTS PIPELINE COMPANY, TO CONSTRUCT A <br />SIX-INCH (6") PROPYLENE PIPELINE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br />• A motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve and adopt <br />Ordinance No. 915-R as read by the City Attorney. Second by <br />Councilperson Graves. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
