Meeting called to order by Mayor Cline at 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Members of the City Council Present: Mayor Virginia Cline, <br />Councilpersons Norman Malone, John Longley, Ed Matuszak, <br />Kevin Graves, Lindsay Pfeiffer, Deotis Gay, Don Skelton, <br />Linda Westergren <br /> <br />Members of the City Council Absent: None <br /> <br />Members of the City Staff Present: Jack Owen, City Manager; <br />Knox Askins, City Attorney; Betty Waters, City Secretary; <br />Bob Herrera, Director of Administrative Services; Stan Sher- <br />wood, Director of Parks & Recreation; David Paulissen, Building <br />Official <br /> <br />Others Present: 16 interested citizens; Dick Bell, Bayshore <br />Sun; Ellen Stover, La Porte Broadcaster; Jeff Patterson, <br />Southeast Weekly <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The invocation was given by Councilperson Skelton <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Mayor Cline proclaimed "National Youth Week," "National <br />School Appreciation Day" and "Teacher Appreciation Day" <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Mayor Cline called for anyone present wishing to speak con- <br />cerning 16 dangerous buildings and she read the following: <br /> <br />a.
