Council considered Staff recommendations on bids received <br /> for plastic garbage bags, .to Adams Industries ,Inc., in the <br /> amount of $.3989 per pound for the first 500,000 bags and <br /> $.4379 per pound for the remaining 500,000 bags, a total <br /> bid price of $60,667.90 for 1,000,000 bags. <br /> A motion was made bh Councilperson Nestergrentoawardthe <br /> bid for plastic gar a~e bags to Adams Industries, Inc., for <br /> one year in the amount of ~60,667.90 for one million bags. <br /> Second by Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 9 ayes <br /> and 0 nays. <br /> Ayes: Counci1persons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br /> Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br /> Nays: None <br /> 9. Council considered the Staff recommendation to award the bid <br /> . for a rubber tire, hydraulic excavating and grading machine; <br /> the low bid was an alternate bid received from Highway Equip- <br /> ment Co. for $80,277.00 and is for the purcha.se of the machine <br /> that the City is presently leasing. <br />
