Council considered ratifying the purchase of a land site for <br />fire station ~~2. <br />Motion was made b- Counei erson Skelton to ratif the urchase <br />of the land site for fire station ~2 in the amount of 55,860.00. <br />Second by Counci person Matusza T e motion Carrie 9 ayes <br />and. 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />• Nays: None <br />14a. City Attorney Askins read: ORDINANCE 1364 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 25, ARTICLE V, SECTION 25-81 OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE BY ADDING TO THE CURRENT <br />DESIGNATED TRUCK ROUTES WITHIN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TWO ADDI- <br />TIONAL TRUCK ROUTES; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE <br />TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR <br />AND SHALL UPON CONVICTION BE FINED NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED <br />DOLLARS ($200.00); CONTAINING SEVERABILITY AND REPEALING <br />CLAUSES; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made b <br />Ordinance 136. as <br />person Westergren <br />Councilperson Pfeiffer to a <br />read b the Cit Attorne . <br />The motion Carrie 9 ayes <br />rove and ado t <br />econd y Council- <br />and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />15. Council Action: <br />Council erson Lon le Reported he had been getting complaints <br />about bui ing restrictions as they pertain to encroachments <br />on .easements from residents in Fairmont Park, and proposed that <br />this be put on a workshop for discussion to see if the ordinance <br />needs to be changed. <br />
