Council considered item 3 on the Emergency Addendum: AN ORDINANCE-AMENDING ARTICLE TT, SECTTON:2-19, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; BRINGING SAID -CODE SECTION .INTO CONFORMITY WITH ARTICLE TL, SECTION 2,09(4), BY PROVIDING THAT MEMBERS. OF THE PLANNING AND.ZONTNG COMMTS- STON SHALL BE APPOINTED BY THE GTTY COUNCIL; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;- FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Matuszak, Graves, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline Nays: Councilperson Longley 16. Administrative Reports: City Manager Owen announced to Council the drainage report by O'Malley and Clay is in the City's hands and copies will be forwarded to the Council within the next two weeks. Owen made the Council aware of an invitation to join the La Porte School Board in a joint meeting on January 31 at 7;00 P.M. in-the School Board Meeting Room. Councilperson Malone asked that there be some discussion of bus routes and a central location for bus bax'ns. Mayor Cline asked that an elevated crosswalk at Myrtle Creek and West Main be considered. 17. Council Action: Councilperson Malone requested a,n executive 'session on a personnel matter. Councilperson Pfeifer asked that a notice be posted for a meeting of the Game Room Ordi,nance:Comm,ttee for January 13, 1983, at 4:30 P.M. in the Conference Room of City Hall. Councilperson Skelton requested an execu ive session on a • personnel matter.
