Second <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />17. Administrative Reports: <br />City Manager Owen advised Council the computer report is <br />ready for presentation at the February 9 Special Called <br />Workshop. <br />Owen stated .the staff's activity report is out and asked <br />for Council comments. <br />The City Manager requested- an executive session on Land <br />Acquisition (Article 6252-17, Section 2(F)). <br />18. Council Action: <br />Councilperson Ma one informed Council he had received 67 <br />phone calls concerning the beer license at Sweet Pea's <br />Ice House on Underwood Road and had several letters sup- <br />porting him in his stand. <br />Councilperson Matuszak commented on the clean socks at the <br />airport and asked that Chief Freeman .take some emergency <br />action to alleviate a dangerous situation on the Fairmont <br />Parkway approach to SH146. <br />Councilperson Graves reported he had received a few calls <br />about the beer license; he further requested the Animal <br />Control Ordinance be updated to cover the keeping of exotic <br />animals on private property. <br />Councilperson Pfeiffer made a statement concerning his favor- <br />able stand on a "Greenbelt Ordinance." He further requested <br />that the newspaper get their facts straight before they are <br />printed. <br />Councilperson Skelton told the Council he had received a <br />phone call from a retired City Employee, Max Quitter, thanking <br />the Council for his recent increase in retirement payment. <br />Skelton requested an executive session on a personnel matter. <br />• <br />
