Council considered Resolution 83-9, read by the City Attorney: A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LA PORTE TO BORROW THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED FORTY-ONE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS ($342,790.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF A SUTPHEN CORPORA- TION AERIAL. TOWER FIRE FIGHTING APPARATUS, WHICH PROMISSORY NOTE SHALL BE ISSUED UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE TEXAS PUBLIC PROPERTY FINANCE ACT, AND SHALL BE SECURED BY THE FULL FAITH AND CREDIT OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE. Administrative Reports: City Manager Owen reported that the computer has arrived. Fur- ther modification to the computer room will be required before the computer can be installed. Bids have been advertised for this work. The insurance study on xisk management insurance has been •- received. These reports will be given to Council within a few days. They are quite lengthy and will require considerable study.
