Don Skelton <br /> <br />- Kevin Graves <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilperson Pfeiffer to approve and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 1359 as read b~~the City Attorney. Second <br />by Councilperson Longley. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Malone, Longley, Matuszak, Graves, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />5. The Oath of Office was at this time administered by Judge <br />J. B. Williamson to Councilperson District 5, B. Don Skelton. <br />The Oath of Office was given to Councilperson District 4 <br />Deotis Gay and Councilperson-at-Large Position A, Kevin Graves, <br />by Mayor Cline. <br /> <br />6. Mayor Cline recognized the January City of La Porte employee of <br />the month, Lori Regelbrugge, a recreation therapist who runs <br />the program for the handicapped; and for February, Sam L. Knowles, <br />warehouseman, who has not missed a day's work for sickness or <br />family emergency since he was hired September 30, 1981. <br /> <br />'. 7. ...'!'U's. Jennie Riley, who was to address the Council concerning <br />the North Side Civic Center, was not present due to her recent <br />illness. <br /> <br />8. Ernest Attwell of Gulf Coast Community Services, was not present. <br /> <br />9. Linda Edge called earlier to ask to be excused, since she would <br />be out of town. <br /> <br />lO. Speaking for A. J. Christ, Mr. Cary Burnley addressed the Council. <br />Mr. Burnley asked that the Council take immediate action to <br />either annex the College View Municipal Utility District or to <br />release them from the La Porte E.T.J. to enable Pasadena to <br />annex the District. Burnley was told the annexation committee <br />would meet Friday, April 8 at 4:00 P.M. <br /> <br />, <br />,- <br /> <br />ll.
