Second by Councilperson Matuszak. <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren, Malone, Longley, <br />Matuszak, Graves, Gay and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />At this point it was pointed out by Councilperson Westergren <br />that the transfer of funds was not in the motion to award the <br />bid for street paving and drainage. <br />Councilperson Matuszak then made the motion to transfer funds <br />from the General Fund Contingenc Fund to the Public Works <br />Street Improvement Fund in the amount of 40,500 for the <br />street paving and drainage project. Second by Councilperson <br />Graves. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren, Longley, Matuszak, <br />Graves, Gay and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />• Councilperson Malone was away from the Council table. <br />12. Council considered awarding a bid for fire apparatus. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to award the bid <br />for fire apparatus to Sutphen Corporation in the amount of <br />$133,561. Second by Councilperson Matuszak. The motion car- <br />ried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Skelton, Westergren, Longley, Matuszak, <br />Graves, Gay and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />Councilperson Malone was away from the Council table. <br />13. Council considered approving an agreement with Harris County <br />for fire protection in unincorporated areas. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to approve the <br />agreement with Harris County for fire protection in unincorporated <br />areas. Second by Councilperson Gay.
