Members of City Council Present: Mayor Virginia Cline, Councilpersons Norman Malone, Ed Matuszak, Lindsay Pfeiffer, Deotis Gay, B. Don Skelton Members of the City Council Absent: Councilperson Linda Westergren . Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Jack Owen, City Attorney Knox Askins, City Secretary Cherie Black, Director of Administrative Services Bob Herrera, Director of Parks and Recreation Stan Sherwood, Director of Community Development John Joerns, Police Chief Herb Freeman, Assistant Director of Public Works Luther Maxey, Director of Public Works Jerry Hodge Others Present: Kevin Graves, Tommy Logan, Buddy Jacobs, Doyle Westergren, John Kiibler, Cary Burnley, Chip Collins, Frank Marino, Dr. Clyde Smith, Linnea Schlobohm of the Bay- town Sun, 45 citizens 2. The invocation was given by Councilperson Malone. 3. Council considered approving the minutes of the regular meeting held August 15, 1984. Councilperson Skelton had one correction: his record indicated that Councilperson Malone had abstained. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve the minutes as corrected. Second by Councilperson Malone." The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Nays: Malone, Matuszak, Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton and Mayor Cline None . (A check of the tape later indicated that Councilperson Malone had voted "aye"; Councilperson Skelton agreed' to let" the' minutes of the August 15 meeting stand as pres'ented.) .... ~
