Council considered an ordinance ratifying appointments to the <br />La Porte Area Water Authority. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1417 - AN ORDINANCE <br />RE-APPOINTING ALBERT FIELDS AS DIRECTOR, POSITION 2,~OF THE LA <br />PORTS AREA WATER AUTHORITY, AND APPOINTING CARY BURNLEY TO THE <br />UNEXPIRED TERM OF BETTY WATERS, AS DIRECTOR, POSITION 3, OF <br />THE LA PORTS AREA WATER AUTHORITY; CONTAINING A REPEALING <br />CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Pfeiffer to adopt Ordinance <br />1417 as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br />Matuszak. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Bridges, Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer <br />Gay, Skelton, Westergren, Malone and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />• 7. Council considered an ordinance ratifying an appointment to <br />the La Porte Zoning Board of Adjustment. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1418 - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPOINTING VIVIAN COVINGTON, TO THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF ANDY. <br />WILSON, ON THE CITY OF LA PORTS ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT; <br />CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Lotion was made by Councilperson Bridges to adopt Ordinance <br />1418 as reed by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Waters. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Bridges, Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, <br />Gay, Skelton, Westergren, Malone and Mayor Cline <br />Nays: None <br />8.
