Staff is asking <br /> for a digital system to replace the analog system, at a cost <br /> of $7,400. <br /> After brief questions, motion was made bv Councilnerson MatQ~ <br /> to accent staff's recommendation and annrove emer~p.ncv renair <br /> of traffic signals and uograde of controller svste~ at the. <br /> intersection of State Hi~hwav 146 and Barbour's Cut Boulevard. <br /> and to transfer $1S.Q18.28 from the Contin~p.~cv fund to covp.~ <br /> the cost. Second by Councilperson Matuszak. Council considered an ordinance updating Texas Municipal <br />. Retirement System service credits. <br /> Councilperson Waters withdrew from participation on this item. <br /> The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1423 - AN ORDINANCE <br /> AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING, UNDER THE ACT GOVERNING THE TEXAS <br /> MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM, "UPDATED SERVICE CREDITS" IN SAID <br /> SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BY QUALIFYING MEMBERS OF SUCH <br /> SYSTEM WHO PRESENTLY ARE IN THE EMPLOYMENT OF THE CITY OF LA <br /> PORTE; PROVIDING FOR INCREASED PRIOR AND CURRENT SERVICE <br /> ANNUITIES FOR RETIREES AND BENEFICIARIES OF DECEASED RETIREES <br /> OF THE CITY; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SUCH <br /> ACTIONS. <br /> Motion was made bv Counciloerson Malone to adont Ordinance <br /> 1423 as read bv the Citv ~tfornev. .
