Council considered awarding a contract for a water/wastewater <br /> rate study. <br /> Mr. Owen reported that a total of eight (8) proposals had been <br /> received, at a price range of from $18,840 to a high of <br /> $119,000. The three low proposals were interviewed, and that <br /> the second lowest proposal would better serve our purposes; <br /> therefore, staff recommends that the. contract be awarded to <br /> Lewis I'1cLain. <br /> Motion was mad~ bv C9~ncilper~0n Malone to accept staff's <br /> recommendation and award the contract for the water/wastewater. <br /> studv to Lewis McLain in an amount not to exceed $24.000 and <br /> to transfer funds from the Water/Wastewater Contin~encv Fund <br /> to cover the cost of the nroiect. Second by Councilperson <br /> Bridges. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Bridges, Matuszak, \..J'aters, Pfeiffer, <br /> Skelton, Westergren and Malone <br /> Nays: None <br /> 16. Council considered awarding a bid for police uniforms. <br />. Police Chief Herb Freeman reported that after all bids had <br /> been analyzed, low bidder meeting specifications is Burke <br /> Uniforms. <br /> After brief questions from Council, motion was made bv <br /> Councilnerson Skelton to award the bid for nolice uniforms to <br /> .Burke Un i forms. in the amount of $6.61Q.20. Second by <br /> Councilperson Matuszak. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 <br /> nays. <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Bridges, Matuszak, \..J'aters, Pfeiffer, <br /> Skelton, Westergren and Malone <br /> Nays: None <br /> 17. Council considered approving emergency repair of traffic <br /> signals and upgrade of controller system at State Highway 146 <br /> and Barbour's Cut intersection and the transfer of $15,918.28 <br /> from the Contingency fund. <br /> Assistant Director of Public Works Steve Gillett reported that <br /> there had been a one car accident at the location in question <br /> on November 21.
