Council considered a lease agreement regarding property at the <br /> mouth of Little Cedar Bayou. <br /> Mr. Berdon Lawrence, owner of a property adjacent to City <br /> owned property at the mouth of Little Cedar Bayou, addressed <br /> Council regarding a lease agreement with the City he wishes to <br /> enter into, in order to preserve the shoreline along his and - <br /> the Gity's properties, which is eroding rapidly. He has been <br /> in contact with the City Engineering Department and the Parks <br /> and Recreation Department and they have drawn up a plan that <br /> Mr. Lawrence feels would be beneficial to himself and to the <br /> City. <br /> Mr. Lawrence showed an aerial photo of the area in question, <br /> and maps showing his proposed bulkheading and rip-rapping of <br /> the property. <br /> After discussion, motion was made bv Councj.lnerson Bri9~es tQ <br />. annrove enterin~ into a lease aareement with Mr_ Berdon <br /> Lawrence for nronertv at the mouth of LittJe Cedar Bavou. <br /> Second by Councilperson Pfeiffer. <br /> Councilperson Matuszak requested that the lease agreement <br /> contain covenants regarding use of the land. Mr. Askins was <br /> directed to confer with Mr. Lawrence and draw up the <br /> covenants. <br /> The vote was then taken, and the motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 <br /> nays. <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Bridges, Matuszak, Waters, Pfeiffer, <br /> Skelton, Westergren, Malone <br /> Nays: None <br />. <br />....... ~ <br />
