After discussion, <br />Councilperson Lloyd moved to put this item on another <br />workshop. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Walker. <br />After further discussion, Councilperson Walker withdrew his <br />second and Councilperson Lloyd withdrew his motion. <br />13. Council considered an ordinance closing the alley in Block <br />437, Town of La Porte. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1442 - AN ORDINANCE <br />VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING ALL OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK <br />FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN (437), IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, <br />HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. <br />• Motion was made by Councilperson Walker to apt Ordinance <br />1442 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Matuszak. The motion carried, 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 abstain. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Councilperson Westergren <br />14. Administrative Reports: <br />The City Manager suggested to Council that, since the next <br />regular meeting falls on the Memorial Day holiday, a special <br />called meeting be held after the workshop on May 20, to take <br />care of any items that might be necessary. <br />15. Council Action: Councilpersons Walker, Matuszak, Waters, Gay, <br />Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone brought items to <br />Councils attention. <br />16. Mayor Malone called for an executive session on personnel. <br />Council adjourned into executive session at 8:12 P.M. and <br />returned to the Council table at 9:05 P.M. <br />• <br /> <br />
