Council considered approving a proposal for inspection of <br />water storage facilities. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Westergren to approve the <br />proposal of Donald Graesser, P.E.,.for inspec~~QD of water <br />storage facilities. Second by Councilperson Pfeiffer. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Walker, Lloyd, Matuszak, Waters, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />16. Council considered awarding a bid for flooring and carpet at <br />the Police Administration building. <br />Assistant City Manager apprised Council that the Police <br />Department is under a mandate from the state to provide a <br />separate juvenile holding room. He stated that if flooring <br />and carpet were installed in the Administration building at <br />this time, they might have to be removed in order to move <br />walls, etc., to rearrange accommodations to include the <br />juvenile holding room. Significant structural renovation will <br />be required to do this. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to table this item <br />until it is known where the rooms would be located. The <br />motion died for lack of a second. <br />r(otion was made by Councilperson Westergren to reject all bids <br />for flooring and carpet for the Police Administration <br />building. Second by Councilperson Matuszak. The motion <br />carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Council considered approving Change Order 4~1 to City of La <br />Porte Project 84-5002, Police and Fire Station parking lots. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve Change Order <br />~1 to City of La Portg project 84-5002. Second by <br />Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
