Council considered adopting an amendment to the junk vehicle <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1387-A - AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1387 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE; CHANGING THE DEFINITION OF THE "JUNKED <br />VEHICLE" CONTAINED IN SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING THAT ANY <br />PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE DEEMED <br />GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE FINED IN <br />ANY SUM NOT MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); <br />CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETING LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Matuszak to adopt Ordinance <br />1i87-A as read bv the Citv Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br />Lloyd. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Pfeiffer, Gay <br />and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />12. Council considered approving a resolution authorizing <br />coveyance of land to Harris County for right-of-way for <br />widening of Barbour's Cut Boulevard. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 86-15 - A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF A 2.4633 ACRE TRACT OF LAND TO <br />HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE WIDENING OF <br />BARBOUR'S CUT BOULEVARD. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Pfeiffer to approve <br />Resolution 86-1S as read by the City Attornev. Second by <br />Councilperson Matuszak. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Pfeiffer, Gay <br />and Mayor Malone <br />None: None <br />
