• <br /> <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />June 23, 1986, Page 2 <br />5. Council retired into executive session at 6:04 P.M. to confer <br />with attorney regarding the lawsuit of Jose N. Gonzales versus <br />City of La Porte, and returned to the Council table at 6:25 <br />P.M. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to ap,Arove the two <br />documents presented by Charles Dippel, Attornev for Sears & <br />Burns Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 9 <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />6. Council considered ordinances tabled for 120 days dealing with <br />dangerous buildings. Ordinances 1425, 1455, 1456, 1460 and <br />1484 would be affected. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to table Ordinances <br />1460 and 1484 for an additional 120 davs. Second by <br />Councilperson Lloyd. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to dismiss Ordinances <br />1' , 1455, and 14~F~, since sufficient progress has been made <br />on the buildings involved. Second by Councilperson <br />Westergren. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, <br />Pfeiffer, Gay, Skelton, Westergren and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />7. Council considered an ordinance to close a portion of Montana <br />Street at the request of the Assembly of God Church. <br />M~r;on was made by Councilperson Westergren to adopt Ordinance <br />1'9 , closing a portion of Montana Street. Second by <br />Councilperson Waters. <br />
