If people are on <br />vacation and their pet is picked up, they still have only 72 <br />hours to pick up the animal or it will be destroyed. Even if <br />a neighbor is keeping an eye on the animal, they might not <br />know to go to the pound to get the animal. A lot of his <br />constituents feel that their animals are just about as <br />important as their children. He asked the Council to <br />reconsider the ordinance and have another workshop session <br />and study it more. <br /> <br />10. Council considered approving a special conditional use permit <br />for Wayne Knox under Section 10-302(10) of Ordinance 1501, <br />City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion was made bY Councilperson Waters to approve the <br />special conditional use permit for Wayne Knox provided, <br />however, there be included in the special conditional use <br />permit there could be no commercial exhibition, or rodeos, or <br />public showings for sale of horses conducted at this site. <br />Second by Councilperson Shipp. The motion carried, 7 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />11. Council considered approving a special conditional use permit <br />for First Assembly of God Church under Section 6-600(F) of <br />Ordinance 1501, City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton <br />special conditional use permit for First <br />Church. Second by Councilperson Waters. <br />7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />to aoprove the <br />Assembly of God <br />The motion carried, <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />
