He asked Council's <br />assistance in choosing the winner of the contest. All <br />Council members volunteered to serve. <br /> <br />14. Council Action: <br /> <br />Council expressed their appreciation to David Paulissen and <br />his work for the City. <br /> <br />Councilperson Porter asked that the City Attorney look into a <br />change in election date from the first Saturday in May. <br /> <br />Councilperson Skelton expressed his opinion that the <br />barricade on Grove should be removed as soon as possible, <br />since it is a City street and should not be closed off. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns updated Council on the <br />Grove Street barricades and the Warning System invitations <br />and brochures. <br /> <br />He called Council's attention to a memorandum from the City <br />Manager regarding the audit committee, and asked that it be <br />taken into Executive Session with them. <br /> <br />15. Council adjourned into executive session at 7:32 P.M. and <br />returned to the Council table at 8:05 P.M. after discussing <br />the following items: <br /> <br />A. Personnel: Annual Performance Review of the City Manager <br /> <br />B. Personnel: Discussion of Audit Committee <br /> <br />After returning to the Council table, the Mayor stated that <br />the Audit Committee item be put on the next regular agenda <br />for action. <br /> <br />He also reported that the annual performance review of the <br />City Manager has been set for November 2, 1987, at 6:00 P.M., <br />and Council would like the City Manager to present to them a <br />status report on goals and objectives for the past six <br />months, or since he has been here. <br />
