Council considered a resolution supporting economic development initiatives on the Plovember 3, 1987, General Election Ballot. The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 87-19 - A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTS SUPPORTING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMEPIT INITIATIVES ON THE NOVEMBER 3, 1987, GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve Resolution 87-19. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Porter, Shipp, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None g. Council considered a contract for construction of Little Cedar Bayou Park. After a presentation by Director of Parks and Recreation Stan Sherwood and comments by the City Manager, motion was made b Council erson Skelton to re'ect all bids and re-bid the proiect in smaller packages. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Porter, Shipp, Gay, SP<elton, Clarke and Mayor P4alone Plays : None 10. Council considered adoption of tax rate and considered setting a public hearing date. The City Manager addressed Council and stated that Staff recommends a tax rate of 66 cents per X100 of valuation.
