In turn, they proYide the City with 400 <br />pounds of animal food monthly.) <br /> <br />Animal ReRistration Process <br /> <br />As required by the City Code, the City of La Porte requires all <br />individuals to annually register their pets. This policy was <br />established for two primary reasons, first to reduce the <br />possibility of a rabies epidemic, and second, to be able to <br />identify the animal's owner, in case the animal is impounded by <br />the Humane Division. <br />
