Council considered employment of Turner Collie & Braden, <br />Inc., as an expert and consulting engineering firm to <br />assist in the settlement and trial of the Tinker <br />Industries, Inc., VS Jess Lovelace lawsuit. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve the <br />employment of Turner Collie & Braden to assist in the <br />Tinker Industries. Inc VS Jess Lovelace lawsuit. Second <br />by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />14. Council considered payment for emergency repairs completed <br />by McKey Construction on the collapsed 8" sanitary sewer <br />line located on "H" Street between Iowa and Kansas. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve payment <br />to McKey Construction for emergency repairs. Second by <br />Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />There was some discussion of certain line item expenses, <br />namely pay scale. Staff will review these and if there is <br />a discrepancy, will report back to Council. <br />15. Council considered approving a street light layout for <br />Spenwick Place subdivision. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Lloyd to approve the <br />street light layout for Spenwick Place subdivision as it <br />was presented by staff. Second by Councilperson Waters. <br />The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />
