• <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />January 25, 1988, Page 6 <br />16. Council considered award of Bid Package #3, wave generating <br />equipment for Little Cedar Bayou Park. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to award Bid <br />Package #3, wave generating equipment, to Aquatic Amusement <br />Associates. Ltd.. in an amount not to exceed $128.500. <br />Second by Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 7 <br />ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />17. Council considered approving rejecting bids for purchase of <br />a new copy machine. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to reject all bids <br />for purchase of a new copy machine. Second by <br />Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />18. The City Manager asked for a workshop meeting on February 1 <br />to review the recently completed Utility Rate Study. He <br />also asked that Council complete their review of the <br />emergency response pamphlet and forward their comments to <br />him so that the pamphlet can be printed and distributed as <br />soon as possible. <br />John Joerns presented an updated from the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission on the six-month review of the zoning <br />ordinance and map and on the proposed sign ordinance. He <br />also announced a meeting on January 26 with area business <br />people regarding the reconstruction plans for the widening <br />of Broadway Street. <br />Councilmembers had no items to report. <br />19. There being no further business to come before the Council, <br />the meeting was duly adjourned at 7:00 P.M. <br />
