The Mayor introduced Larry Huff, Dr. Dale Clark, and Dr. <br />Joe Mock of the Pasadena Bayshore Hospital Complex. Mr. <br />Huff and Dr. Clark were given plaques of appreciation for <br />their contributions in support of the La Porte Triathlon. <br /> <br />Mrs. Shirley Thibodeaux addressed Council regarding <br />property belonging to her that is scheduled for demolition. <br />She asked Council to please reconsider, as she feels she <br />has brought the building to standards. Mrs. Thibodeaux was <br />asked to contact the Chief Building Official and talk with <br />them to see if the issue could be resolved. <br /> <br />Mr. Jim Longnecker addressed Council regarding the proposed <br />rate fee structure for the golf course. <br /> <br />Also addressing Council regarding the proposed rate fee <br />structure for the golf course were Bill McCoy, Mel Berges <br />and Ronald Sharp. <br /> <br />6. Council considered an ordinance establishing an Airport <br />Advisory Board and appointing members thereto. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to adopt the <br />ordinance establishing an Airport Advisory Board, that the <br />people named in the ordinance be appointed, and that <br />position 3 be left vacant pending a meeting that could <br />determine someone to fill that position. Second by <br />Councilperson Lloyd. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1583 - AN ORDINANCE <br />ESTABLISHING AN AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD FOR THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; ESTABLISHING THE POWERS AND DUTIES <br />OF THE BOARD; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS <br />LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />The vote was taken and the motion carried, 6 ayes and 0 <br />nays (Councilperson Gay had not yet arrived). <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />7. Council considered an ordinance granting a pipeline permit <br />to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., and approving <br />assignment of permit to Texaco Chemical Company. <br />
