Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council February 12, 1990, Page 5 17. Council considered a consent agenda, as follows: (A) Consider awarding a bid for police vehicles; (B) Consider awarding a bid for chemicals and fertilizers; (C) Consider awarding a contract for janitorial maintenance service for City Hall, Public Works and Sylvan Beach Pavilion; (D) Consider awarding bid for industrial tractor loader/backhoe. Councilperson Skelton requested removal of item A; Councilperson McLaughlin requested removal of item C. Motion was made by Councilperson Gay to approve items B and D of the consent agenda. Second by Councilperson Porter. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None After discussion of Item A, motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to award the bid for police vehicles to the low bidder. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None After discussion of Item C, motion was made by Councilperson McLaughlin to award the contract for janitorial maintenance service to Houston Sanitary and Maintenance. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 18. There was no administrative report. 19. Council action: Councilpersons Skelton, Gay, Porter, McLaughlin, Matuszak, Cooper and Mayor Malone brought items to Council's attention. 20. There was no executive session. 21. There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was duly adjourned at 8:40 P.M.
