• • <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />January 28, 1991, Page 4 <br />11. Council considered authorizing an increase in contract price <br />with Insituform Gulf South in the amount of $8,150 for <br />rehabilitation of Roseberry trunk sewer. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to authorize a <br />contract price increase with Insituform in the amount of <br />ca-150, bringing the total contract price to 580,120. Second <br />by Councilperson McLaughlin. The motion carried, 8 ayes and <br />0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />12. Council considered rejecting a bid for design and construction <br />of Bay Forest Golf Course irrigation pump building. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to reject the bid for <br />the irrigation pump buildinq and that the project be rebid. <br />Second by Councilperson Cooper. The motion carried, 8 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />13. Administrative Reports <br />A. An appreciation plaque from Operation Desert Shield <br />personnel has been presented to the City. It was passed <br />for Council to look at. <br />B. Public Works has received a "Good Housekeeping" award <br />from Gulf Area Utilities Association. They won a first <br />place and a second place award. <br />C. There will be a rally in support of Operation Desert <br />Storm on February 5 at the Fairmont Plaza shopping <br />center. <br />D. The first meeting of the Re-Districting committee will <br />be held from 7 to 9 P.M. on February 5. <br />14. Council Action - Councilpersons Clarke, Skelton, Gay, Porter, <br />McLaughlin, Cooper, Sutherland and Mayor Malone brought items <br />to Council's attention. <br />
