The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tern Bob <br />McLaughlin at 6:03 P.M. <br /> <br />Members of city Council Present: Mayor Pro Tern Bob <br />McLaughlin, Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Mike Cooper, Bob <br />Thrower, Alton Porter, B. The invocation was given by Councilperson Clarke. <br /> <br />3. Council considered approving the minutes of the regular <br />meeting held June 10, 1991. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve the June <br />10 minutes as presented. Second by Councilperson Thrower. <br />The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, Porter, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Pro Tern McLaughlin <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />4. There were no citizens wishing to address Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern McLaughlin announced that items 5 through 9 had <br />been requested to go into executive session. Item 10 was then <br />addressed. <br /> <br />10. Council considered an ordinance approving a letter of <br />agreement between State Department of Highways & Public <br />Transportation and the City of La Porte for Landscape <br />Materials. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1763 - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE STATE <br />DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AND THE CITY <br />
