Petitions, Remonstrances, Communications, and citizens and <br />Taxpayers wishing to address Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Joe Shunta addressed Council regarding Ordinance 1784, the <br />ordinance regarding hunting game animals in the city limits <br />of La Porte. <br /> <br />Mayor Malone read a letter from Leslie Doran, 4901 Glenvalley, <br />La Porte, regarding requesting Council consider passing an <br />ordinance regulating Garage Sales in the city limits of La <br />Porte. <br /> <br />Several citizens spoke to Council regarding carport <br />regulations proposed as an amendment to Ordinance 1501. <br /> <br />For: Leon Waters, Theresa Lamar, Ella Sotelo, Janice M. Greer, <br />Linda Nieman, Lawrence B. Guy, Walter Groda, Gary Groda, Jim <br />Longnecker, Beverly Carman, and Betty Rouse. <br /> <br />Against: E. W. "Buddy" Felscher and Reba Felscher. Wayne <br />Anderson asked Planning and Zoning Commission to give the <br />matter further review. <br /> <br />Tommy Green, 10107 Oakmont, addressed the Fairmont Park West <br />homeowners' concerns about this ordinance superseding deed <br />restrictions in Fairmont Park West subdivision. <br /> <br />11. Public Hearing - Regarding proposed changes to Ordinance 1501, <br />The City of La Porte Zoning Ordinance <br /> <br />Call to Order by Mayor Malone at 7:01 <br /> <br />Review of Proposed Changes was conducted by Inspector Mark <br />Lewis. Mr. Lewis read and explained each amendment to <br />Ordinance 1501 and answered questions from Council. <br /> <br />Public Input: <br /> <br />Dean Wyman, 2226 26th Street, spoke on rezoning this area from <br />Neighborhood Commercial to General Commercial. <br /> <br />Jim Longnecker, 233 San Jacinto Street, had questions on <br />setbacks for fences. <br />
