Jeff reviewed the document, then introduced Chuck Yaple and Chris Breaux, Null & Associates, the City's auditors. Mr. Yaple spoke on behalf of the firm to compliment the City's standing. 10. Council considered a resolution authorizing participation in H-GAC D.A.R.E. grant program. The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 92-03 - A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT REQUEST TO THE GOVERNOR'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR FUNDING TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR A PROGRAM KNOWN AS JUVENILE JUSTICE & DELINQUENCY PREVENTION ACT Motion was made by Councilperson Cooper to adopt Resolution 92-03 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 11. Council considered a resolution authorizing submission of application for third year grant for Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) Program. The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 92-04 - A RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT REQUEST TO THE GOVERNOR'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION FOR FUNDING TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR A PROGRAM KNOWN AS INFORMATION SYSTEMS/COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Resolution 92-04 as read by the City Attorney.
