Council considered an ordinance granting a pipe line permit to Air Products Manufacturing Corporation. The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE NO. 915-GG - AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-a-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 915, "PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION," BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, 1975, TO CONSTRUCT AN 8-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF HYDROGEN; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to adopt Ordinance 915-GG as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays (Councilpersons Porter and Gay had not yet arrived). Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 10. Council considered an ordinance establishing rates for use of municipal swimming pools and the hours of operation for the municipal swimming pools. The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1644-C - AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR THE USE OF THE MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOLS AND THE HOURS OF OPERATION FOR THE MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOLS. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance 1644-C as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays (Councilpersons Porter and Gay had not yet arrived). Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None il. Council considered an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter a professional services agreement with Manning Engineering Corporation for design of lift station 30 force main diversion.
