Council considered approving Special Conditional Use Permit to <br />allow a tract of land to be utilized for raising livestock. <br />MQt~on was made by Councilperson Sutherland to issue a permit <br />livestock. Second by Councilperson Cooper. The motion <br />carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />9. Public Hearing B - Budget for FY 1992-93 <br />Mayor Malone opened the Public Hearing at 6:58. <br />City Manager Bob Herrera asked Council to consider going into <br />Executive Session after Public Hearing B to meet with the <br />Attorney who was present. Bob Herrera commended the staff on <br />their efforts in preparation of the 1992-93 Budget and <br />introduced Director of Finance Jeff Litchfield, who reviewed <br />the proposed budget. <br />The Mayor asked if anyone from the public would like to speak <br />regarding the proposed budget. There were no requests to <br />speak and the Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:05. <br />11. Council considered an ordinance adopting the budget for fiscal <br />year 1992-93. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1859 - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />TEXAS, FOR THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 1992 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, <br />1993; FINDING THAT ALL THING REQUISITE AND NECESSARY HAVE BEEN <br />DONE IN PREPARATION AND PRESENTMENT OF SAID BUDGET; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson McLaughlin to adopt Ordinance <br />3<859 as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br />Thrower. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
