Council considered approving Special Conditional Use Permit to allow a tract of land to be utilized for raising livestock. MQt~on was made by Councilperson Sutherland to issue a permit livestock. Second by Councilperson Cooper. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 9. Public Hearing B - Budget for FY 1992-93 Mayor Malone opened the Public Hearing at 6:58. City Manager Bob Herrera asked Council to consider going into Executive Session after Public Hearing B to meet with the Attorney who was present. Bob Herrera commended the staff on their efforts in preparation of the 1992-93 Budget and introduced Director of Finance Jeff Litchfield, who reviewed the proposed budget. The Mayor asked if anyone from the public would like to speak regarding the proposed budget. There were no requests to speak and the Mayor closed the public hearing at 7:05. 11. Council considered an ordinance adopting the budget for fiscal year 1992-93. The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1859 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 1992 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1993; FINDING THAT ALL THING REQUISITE AND NECESSARY HAVE BEEN DONE IN PREPARATION AND PRESENTMENT OF SAID BUDGET; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilperson McLaughlin to adopt Ordinance 3<859 as read by the City Attornev. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays.
