i <br />ti <br />1 • • <br />Section 3. The Board Chairman shall select all committee chairmen <br />from the Board of Directors. <br />Section 4. The Board Chairman and Committee Chairman shall make <br />committee assignments from the Board of Directors. <br />Section 5. Individuals not affiliated with Leadership <br />La Porte-Bayshore may be appointed to standing <br />committees by Committee Chairman subject to the <br />approval of the Board Chairman. <br />Section 6. The membership of any committee appointed for the <br />purpose of selecting participants in Leadership <br />La Porte-Bayshore program shall remain anonymous. <br />Section 7. Contributions to Leadership La Porte-Bayshore should be <br />made payable to the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of <br />Commerce and may be tax deductible as a business <br />expense. <br />Section 8. ~ A committee, by its specific or implied action or. <br />consideration, does not commit Leadership La Porte- <br />Bayshore, nor should it assume that it does, until its <br />recommendation upon a given project has been approved <br />by the Board of Directors. <br />ARTICLE IV-PARTICIPANTS <br />Section 1. All applicants will be required to sign a commitment <br /> pledge. <br />Section 2. Any participant missing more than two (2) sessions, or <br /> any portions thereof,-shall be dropped without refund. <br /> Participant attendance at the retreat is mandatory. <br />Section 3. Financial payment or scholarship arrangements for <br /> tuition must be finalized with the Chamber of Commerce <br /> by August 15th of the current year. <br />Section 4. All money paid for tuition should be made payable to <br /> the La Porte-Bayshore Chamber of Commerce and is to be <br /> considered an admission fee and shall not be refundable <br /> after August 15th. <br />Section 5. The total number of participants shall be determined <br /> each year by the Board of Directors. <br />3 <br />
