President of the La Porte Bayshore Chamber of Commerce <br />Kathleen Lemon made a presentation to the city Council. A <br />framed pen and ink picture of La Porte Business, Industries <br />and City facilities was presented to Mayor Malone for the City <br />and a copy was presented to each Council member. Ms. Lemon <br />extended an invitation to the Council to attend the Chamber <br />Hamburqer Cook-out to be held this Thursday June 17. <br /> <br />6. Mrs. Marqueri te Ferquson addressed Council reqardinq her <br />concerns for offerinq a qun safety course to younq people 14 <br />to 18 years of aqe. <br /> <br />7. Public Hearinq to consider amendments to the City of La Porte <br />Zoninq Ordinance 1501, A. section 3-100; New Definition of <br />Portable Siqn; B. section 6-400, Commercial Table A: Mini <br />Warehouse Storaqe (Sic 4225) As a Conditional Use In General <br />Commercial Zones; C. section 10-1000, Siqn Requlation; <br />Replacinq The Existinq section 10-1000 With a New section 10- <br />10000 Which will requlate Portable siqns, Political Siqns, <br />Freestandinq and Attached On Premise Siqns, Off Premise Siqns <br />and Real Estate Siqns. <br /> <br />Public Hearinq Opened at 6:10 P.M. <br /> <br />Planninq Director Chuck Harrinqton addressed the major items <br />of chanqe in the existinq ordinance and the proposed <br />amendments for consideration. <br /> <br />Public InPut: <br /> <br />There were no citizens to speak in favor of the amendments. <br /> <br />Speakinq aqainst the Real Estate section of the amendments <br />were B.
