Council considered approving minutes of Special Called Meeting <br />on August 30, 1993. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Cooper to approve the minutes <br />of Auaust 30 as presented. Second by councilperson <br />McLaughlin. Proclamation: <br /> <br />A proclamation was presented to Marie Russell and Imogene <br />pulleine for Constitution Week <br /> <br />7. Employee of the Quarter award for April, May and June was <br />presented to Ms. Becky Lopez, Parts Assistant in Equipment <br />Services Department. Ms. Lopez was nominated by Equipment <br />Services Superintendent Rick Steward. <br /> <br />8. Commander William J. White, American Legion Post 428, <br />presented the 1993 Boys and Girls State Participants from La <br />Porte. Delegates were Stephanie Lange, daughter of Patricia <br />and Jerry Lange; Dan Catlin, son of Chae and Donald Catlin; <br />Wyley Johnson, son of Jo and Mickey Johnson; Charles Pfeiffer, <br />son of Jennifer and Lin Pfeiffer; Tom Rickert, son of Beth and <br />Larry Rickert; Todd Swaney, son of Pam and Joe Swaney. The <br />group individually addressed Council and gave a report on the <br />program format. They stated they now have a better <br />understanding of our American form of government and the <br />responsibility of American citizenship. <br /> <br />9. Several citizens signed up to speak but all elected to wait <br />until the Public Hearing A was opened for public input. <br /> <br />10. Mayor Malone opened Public Hearing - A at 6:23 P.M. This <br />hearing was regarding a request of Janet A. Stevenson to <br />consider property located in the 200 and 300 Block of Dwire <br />Drive currently Zoned R-1, Low Density Residential to have <br />property rezoned to Manufactured Housing. Planning Director <br />
