Council considered authorizing a Public Hearing for the purpose of condemning and ordering demolition of dangerous buildings. Chief Building Official Mark Lewis briefed Council on basis and reason for the Public Hearing and requested October 25, 1993 as the hearing date. Mr. Lewis turned the review over to Inspector II Debbie Wilmore. Ms. Wilmore showed video of the eight (8) structures being considered. Motion was made by Councilperson Cooper to authorize a oublic hearinc,L on October 25 , 1993 , for the purpose of condemning and order demolition of dangerous buildings. Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Gay, Maxwell and Mayor Pro Tem Jerry Clarke Nays: None 11. Council considered adopting Resolution No. 93-13 adopting the Bayfront Master Plan dated August 27, 1993. Director of Planning Chuck Harrington introduced Keith Carlson of the consortium of Mitchell, Carlson & Associates, Inc., SLA Studio Land Inc. and Carter Burgess Inc., who developed the plan. Mr. Carlson gave a presentation and explanation of the development of this plan. City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 93-13 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BAY FRONT MASTER PLAN DATED AUGUST 27, 1993; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made b~ Councilperson Ma xwell to adopt Resolution 93-13 as read by the City Attorney. Sec ond by Councilperson Cooper. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays.
