Council considered authorizing a Public Hearing for the <br />purpose of condemning and ordering demolition of dangerous <br />buildings. <br />Chief Building Official Mark Lewis briefed Council on basis <br />and reason for the Public Hearing and requested October 25, <br />1993 as the hearing date. Mr. Lewis turned the review over to <br />Inspector II Debbie Wilmore. Ms. Wilmore showed video of the <br />eight (8) structures being considered. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Cooper to authorize a oublic <br />hearinc,L on October 25 , 1993 , for the purpose of condemning and <br />order demolition of dangerous buildings. Second by <br />Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Gay, Maxwell and Mayor Pro Tem Jerry <br />Clarke <br />Nays: None <br />11. Council considered adopting Resolution No. 93-13 adopting the <br />Bayfront Master Plan dated August 27, 1993. <br />Director of Planning Chuck Harrington introduced Keith Carlson <br />of the consortium of Mitchell, Carlson & Associates, Inc., SLA <br />Studio Land Inc. and Carter Burgess Inc., who developed the <br />plan. Mr. Carlson gave a presentation and explanation of the <br />development of this plan. <br />City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 93-13 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />THE BAY FRONT MASTER PLAN DATED AUGUST 27, 1993; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made b~ Councilperson Ma xwell to adopt Resolution <br />93-13 as read by the City Attorney. Sec ond by Councilperson <br />Cooper.
