Mayor Malone opened Public Hearing - B at 6:38 Public Hearing - B - City Budget FY 94-95 Director of Finance reviewed with Council the summary of all funds which appear in the city of La Porte Budget for 1994- 1995. There was no public input regarding the proposed budget. Jeff Litchfield stated staff's recommendation is to approve the adoption of the Budget FY 94-95 as presented. Mayor Malone closed Public Hearing - B at 6:48 P.M. 10. Council considered an ordinance approving and adopting the Budget for City of La Porte, Texas, for the period of October 1, 1994 through September 30, 1995. City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1995 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 1994 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 1995; FINDING THAT ALL THINGS REQUISITE AND NECESSARY HAVE BEEN DONE IN PREPARATION AND PRESENTMENT OF SAID BUDGET; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made bv Councilperson Cooper to approve and adopt the budaet as presented. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 1 nay. Nays: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone Councilperson Maxwell Ayes: 11. Council considered a resolution of the City Council of the City of La Porte, Texas, adopting the 1994 Appraisal Roll of the Harris County Appraisal District. city Attorney read: RESOLUTION 94-06 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE 1994 APPRAISAL ROLL OF THE HARRIS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT.
