Riabv <br /> Director of Administrative Services Louis Rigby summarized the <br /> information and staff recommendation. Councilperson Maxwell <br /> stepped away from the Council table for the vote due to a <br /> conflict of interest. <br /> City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1875-B - AN ORDINANCE <br /> AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING, UNDER THE ACT GOVERNING THE TEXAS <br /> MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT 'SYSTEM, "UPDATED SERVICE CREDITS" IN SAID <br /> SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BY QUALIFYING MEMBERS OF SUCH <br /> SYSTEM WHO PRESENTLY ARE IN THE EMPLOYMENT OF THE CITY OF'LA <br /> PORTE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br /> PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> ~otion was made bv Councilnerson Thrower to acnrove Ordinance <br /> 1875-B as read bv the city Attornev.
