THE PROPERTY <br /> IS LOCATED AT 502 NORTH BROADWAY <br /> Mayor Malone opened the public hearing at 7:11 P.M. Director <br /> of Planning Chuck Harrington reviewed request. There were no <br /> requests from the public to speak. Planning and Zoning <br /> commission recommended approval of SCU94-004 and staff <br /> concurred. councilperson Gay made positive comments regarding <br /> the passing and approval of this request. Mayor Malone closed <br /> the public hearing at 7:13 P.M. <br />11- CONSIDER SPECIAL CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REOUEST SCU94-004 - C. <br /> Harrinaton <br /> Motion was made bv Councilnerson Maxwell to acnrove snecial <br /> r.()~(:;l~"t~:onal Use Permit Reauest SCU94-004. Second by <br /> Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br /> McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor <br /> Malone <br /> Nays: None <br /> I <br />12. CONSIDER AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING UPDATED SERVICE CREDITS AND <br /> INCREASED ANNUITIES IN THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM <br /> lOrd. 1875-B) - L. Riabv <br /> Director of Administrative Services Louis Rigby summarized the <br /> information and staff recommendation. Councilperson Maxwell <br /> stepped away from the Council table for the vote due to a <br /> conflict of interest. <br /> City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1875-B - AN ORDINANCE <br /> AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING, UNDER THE ACT GOVERNING THE TEXAS <br /> MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT 'SYSTEM, "UPDATED SERVICE CREDITS" IN SAID <br /> SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BY QUALIFYING MEMBERS OF SUCH <br /> SYSTEM WHO PRESENTLY ARE IN THE EMPLOYMENT OF THE CITY OF'LA <br /> PORTE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND <br /> PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> ~otion was made bv Councilnerson Thrower to acnrove Ordinance <br /> 1875-B as read bv the city Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br /> Porter.
