• 0 <br />Minutes Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />May 8, 1995, Page 9 <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Maxwell to award the <br />concession operations, subject to the specified conditions, to <br />Casual Catering for concession operations at the Little Cedar <br />Bayou Wave Pool. Second by Councilperson McLaughlin. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke, and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />16. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />A. FAMILY DAY AT THE WAVE POOL <br />City Manager R. T. Herrera reminded Council they and their <br />families are invited to the May 20th Family Day at the Wave <br />Pool from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. He also congratulated <br />Councilperson McLaughlin, Gay, and Maxwell on their election <br />to City Council. He stated, "I am looking forward to working <br />with you for the next three years." Mr. Herrera extended <br />best wished to the Desai's for success in their endeavor. He <br />assured the Desai's that the City Staff met many challenges <br />because we had to deal with all the utility companies <br />involved. Mr. Herrera thanked Mark Lewis, John Joerns, and <br />Jeff Litchfield for their assistance in working with these <br />companies. Mr. Herrera reported he will be visiting with <br />Council to discuss the parameters which they may or may not be <br />considering for the future of the Seabreeze property which the <br />City will now acquire. <br />17. COUNCIL ACTION <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, <br />Maxwell, and Mayor Malone brought items to Council's <br />attention. <br />18. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS <br />LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, AND 551.084, GOVT. CODS <br />VERNON'S TEXAS CODES ANNOTATED, - (CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, CONFERENCE <br />WITH EMPLOYEES, DELIBERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR <br />EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN <br />AN INVESTIGATION) <br />
