Minutes Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />July 24, 1995, Page 3 <br />Motion was made by Councilperson McLaughlin to approve the <br />Consent Agenda as presented. Second by Councilperson Thrower. <br />The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Gay, <br />Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Pro Tem Porter <br />Nays: None <br />7. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />Assistant City Manager Jeff Litchfield reminded Council the <br />Budget Workshops will begin on August 14 and continue through <br />August 18. The first meeting on the 14th will begin <br />immediately following the City Council meeting, and the <br />remaining Budget Workshop meetings will begin at 6:00 P.M. <br />S. COUNCIL ACTION <br />Councilpersons Thrower, McLaughlin, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor <br />Pro Tem Porter brought items to Council's attention. <br />Councilperson Gay reported to Council that Rev. Walter Pinkney <br />stated he would be available to present the invocation at any <br />future Council meeting should the need arise. <br />9. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS <br />LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551,076, AND 551.084, GOVT. CODE, <br />VERNON'S TEXAS CODES ANNOTATED, - (CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, CONFERENCE <br />WITH EMPLOYEES, DELIBERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR <br />EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN <br />AN INVESTIGATION) <br />There was no executive session held. <br />10.
