<br />1. CALL TO ORDER
<br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Norman L. Malone at 6:00 P.M.
<br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Norman L. Malone, Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Mike

<br />2. INVOCATION BY REV. BEATRICE CHUM -CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH
<br />The invocation was delivered by Rev. Beatrice Chun pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, La Porte, Texas.
<br />3. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES OF SPECIAL CALLED REGULAR MEETING MAY 6,1996
<br />Motion was made by Councilperson Thrower to approve the minutes of May 6 as presented. Second by
<br />Councilperson Maxwell. The motion carried, 9 ayes, 0 nays.
<br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and
<br />Mayor Malone
<br />Nays: None
<br />4. PRESENTATION:
<br />AMERICAN LEGION POST 428, LA PORTE -COMMANDER BUFORD LEONARD
<br />PRESENTATION TO POLICE OFFICER, FIRE FIGHTER, AND PARAMEDIC OF THE YEAR
<br />American Legion Post 428 Past Commander Bill White announced the winner of the award for Paramedic
<br />of the Year, Lisa Camp. Presenting the plaque and medal were Post Commander Buford Leonard and
<br />President of the Fire Fighters Association Teri Crate. The award for Police Officer of the year was
<br />presented to Officer Donna Cook by Commander Buford Leonard and Chief Powell. The award for Fire
<br />Fighter of the Year was presented to Fire Chief Joe Sease.
