• • <br />Minutes Regulaz Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />April 14, 1997, Page 2 <br />4. PRESENTATIONS <br />A. RETIREE RECOGNITIOAN -SUE LENES <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera expressed joy in having Ms. Lenes as a City Employee and <br />that she touched the lives all the employees she worked with. Mr. Herrera then presented Ms. <br />Lenes with a Watch from the City of La Porte. Mr. Herrera also presented Ms. Lenes with a <br />picture of Ms. Lenes and a Porcelain Angel as a gift from the Executive Staff. <br />Ms. Lenes graciously accepted the Picture, Watch and the Porcelain Angel and expressed how <br />she was going to miss working with employees of the city; however, she was looking forward <br />to retirement. <br />5. PROCLAMATION <br />A. SUE LENES DAY <br />Mayor Malone Proclaimed Mazch 31, 1997 as Sue Lenes Day in the City of La Porte and all <br />of the Councilmembers presented a proclamation to Ms. Lenes. <br />Ms. Lenes also graciously accepted her proclamation and expressed her delight to have the <br />friendship she has with the City Council of La Porte. <br />B. 911 WEEK <br />Mayor Malone Proclaimed the week of April 14 - 19, 1997 as 911 Telecommunicator Week in <br />the City of La Porte and this proclamation will be taken to the Boazd of Directors of 911. <br />6. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX <br />PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL <br />There were not citizens or taxpayers wishing to address Council. <br />7. CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER ACTION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH <br />CASUAL CATERING FOR PROVISION OF FOOD, BEVERAGE, AND CONCESSION <br />SERVICES AT LITTLE CEDAR BAYOU WAVE POOL (Ord. 97-2170) - S. Barr <br />Director for Parks and Recreation Stephen Barr reviewed the summazy and recommendation to <br />awazd a seasonal operations bid contract with specified conditions to Casual Catering for <br />concession operations at the Little Cedaz Bayou Wave Pool. <br />
