• • Minutes Regulaz Meeting La Porte City Council April 14, 1997, Page 2 4. PRESENTATIONS A. RETIREE RECOGNITIOAN -SUE LENES City Manager Robert T. Herrera expressed joy in having Ms. Lenes as a City Employee and that she touched the lives all the employees she worked with. Mr. Herrera then presented Ms. Lenes with a Watch from the City of La Porte. Mr. Herrera also presented Ms. Lenes with a picture of Ms. Lenes and a Porcelain Angel as a gift from the Executive Staff. Ms. Lenes graciously accepted the Picture, Watch and the Porcelain Angel and expressed how she was going to miss working with employees of the city; however, she was looking forward to retirement. 5. PROCLAMATION A. SUE LENES DAY Mayor Malone Proclaimed Mazch 31, 1997 as Sue Lenes Day in the City of La Porte and all of the Councilmembers presented a proclamation to Ms. Lenes. Ms. Lenes also graciously accepted her proclamation and expressed her delight to have the friendship she has with the City Council of La Porte. B. 911 WEEK Mayor Malone Proclaimed the week of April 14 - 19, 1997 as 911 Telecommunicator Week in the City of La Porte and this proclamation will be taken to the Boazd of Directors of 911. 6. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL There were not citizens or taxpayers wishing to address Council. 7. CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER ACTION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH CASUAL CATERING FOR PROVISION OF FOOD, BEVERAGE, AND CONCESSION SERVICES AT LITTLE CEDAR BAYOU WAVE POOL (Ord. 97-2170) - S. Barr Director for Parks and Recreation Stephen Barr reviewed the summazy and recommendation to awazd a seasonal operations bid contract with specified conditions to Casual Catering for concession operations at the Little Cedaz Bayou Wave Pool.
