Council considered approving an Ordinance authorizing and allowing the Texas <br />Municipal Retirement System "Updated Service Credits" in said system for service <br />performed by qualifying members who presently are in the employment of the City of <br />La Porte. <br /> <br />Director of Administrative Services Louis Rigby presented the summary and <br />recommendation information and answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Mayor Malone read: Ordinance 98-1875-F - CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER <br />ACTION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1875, AN <br />ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING, UNDER THE ACT <br />GOVERNING THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM, "UPDATED <br />SERVICE CREDITS' IN SAID SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BY <br />QUALIFYING MEMBERS OF SUCH SYSTEM WHO PRESENTLY ARE IN THE <br />EMPLOYMENT OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE (Ord. 98-1875-F) L.
