City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 99-2311- CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER ACTION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND HARRIS COUNTY TO CONSTRUCT DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO SUNRISE DRIVE. Motion was made bv Councilperson Clarke to approve the ordinance as presented bv Mr. Herrera. Second by Councilperson Young. The motion carried unanimously. Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke, and Mayor Malone. Nays: None Abstain: None 12. Council considered the approval of an Ordinance approving an agreement between the City of La Porte and Hall/Barnum Architects, Inc. for architectural services for the new city library. Bill Hall, Dan Barnum, and Steve Lucase were present representing Hall/Barnum Architects, Inc. City Manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary and recommendation and answered City Council questions. City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 99-2312 - CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER ACTION REGARDING AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND HALL/BARNUM ARCHITECTS, INC. FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR THE NEW CITY LmRARY. Motion was made bv Council person Ebow to approve the ordinance as presented bv Mr. Herrera. Second by Council person Griffiths. The motion carried unanimously. Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke and Mayor Malone. Nays: None Abstain: None 13. Council considered the approval of an Ordinance on Taxi Dancing. City Manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary. Mayor Malone stepped out at 6:50 PM. Mayor Pro-Tern Alton Porter took the vote.
