• 0 <br />(c) The city attorney shall defend all appeals initiated by a person aggrieved <br />by an order of the Commission. <br />(d) The city attorney shall render such other services, consistent with this <br />Article and subchapter C of the Texas Local Government Article necessary or desirable <br />to ensure the prompt and efficient utilization of this Article. <br />(e) The city attorney shall prosecute all persons failing to comply with the <br />terms of the notices and orders provided for in this Article; <br />(f) The city attorney shall bring suit to collect all municipal charges, liens or <br />costs incurred by the city in preparing or causing to be vacated, demolished, secured, <br />or repaired dangerous buildings; <br />(g) The city attorney shall be authorized to bring and prosecute civil actions <br />pursuant to subchapter B of chapter 54 of the Texas Local Government Article and <br />under any other applicable law for the enforcement of the ordinances provided for in this <br />Article in any court of competent jurisdiction; and <br />(h) The city attorney shall take such other legal action as is necessary to carry <br />out the terms and provisions of this Article. <br />Section 3.06. Article cumulative. <br />(a) This Article is cumulative of all other available remedies, including but not <br />limited to criminal prosecution, the initiation of civil suits by -the city for the abatement of <br />dangerous building conditions, and the administrative hearing process conducted under <br />this Article. <br />(b) This Article shall be cumulative of all other ordinances, laws and <br />applicable regulations. Without limitation of the generality of the foregoing, any action to <br />secure, repair or demolish a structure that is ordered pursuant to this Article must <br />comply with all applicable requirements of the Article of Ordinances of the City of La <br />Porte. <br />Section 3.07. Scope. <br />(a) The provisions of this Article shall apply to the construction, <br />re -construction, alteration, repair, renewal, equipping, use and occupancy, main- <br />tenance, removal, securing, vacating and demolition of every structure or building or <br />any appurtenances connected or attached thereto. <br />(b) Without limitation of the above, the provisions of this Article shall apply to <br />all buildings regardless of when they were constructed, altered or repaired, except as <br />may be otherwise provided herein. <br />Page 4 <br />
