Council considered approving an ordinance appointing members to various boards, <br />commissions, and committees, of the City of La Porte. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong presented summary and recommendation. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong read: ORDINANCE 2000-2408 - AN <br />ORDINANCE APPOINTING MEMBERS TO VARIOUS BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, <br />AND COMMITTEES, OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; PROVIDING A <br />SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Young to approve the ordinance as presented. <br />Second by Councilperson Engelken.
