Council considered approving a resolution of the City Council of the City of La Porte, <br />Texas, supporting the passage in the 77th Texas Legislature of enabling legislation for the <br />photographic red light enforcement. <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 2000-14 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF <br />ENABLING LEGISLATION FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC RED LIGHT ENFORCEMENT <br />IN THE 77TH LEGISLATURE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Griffiths to approve Resolution 2000-14 presented <br />by Mr. Herrera. Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing a lease agreement between the <br />City of La Porte, as lessee, and Greater Texas Equities, LTC.
